Home Schooling Tips - Part 1

Welcome parents! If you are going to home school your children, then this website was created so that we could work together and make homeschooling easier for you and our readers.

Here are a few tips for new parents...

1. Get good curriculum - I don't know about you, but I can't remember how to do all the things I learned in school. You're probably the same way. I suggest that you get good curriculum to make the process smooth.

2. Talk to your children - Make sure they realize that this isn't going to be a free ride! They are going to have to work. However, their work will be rewarded with more free time and other rewarding events.

3. Have a purpose - Make sure there is a clear purpose to home schooling. If you are just trying to save your kid from their peers, then I suggest you rethink it and have a clear purpose. Maybe it is to prepare them for college, maybe it is to help them be more Godly. Whatever your reason, make sure you are prepared and have a clear vision.

Structure...

If you think that home schooling is going to be easy... Think again. Here's a tip! Make sure that your home school is organized and structured.

I'd also suggest that if you plan on home schooling that you have a planned schedule, planned work area, and planned content!

If you don't, then you're going to to find that you child will not enjoy home schooling and it will put a burden on your relationship!

Take it from me, home schooling can be rewarding to your child, but you must be sure to make it an important, and organized program.

Otherwise, your children will resent it!

Please feel free to post your thoughts and opinions!
